The Quaker Ball
"The Quaker Ball is shown in three sizes. All three of the balls use the same patterns and they are all laid out the same. One small exception is that on the red ball the cross stitch pattern is done in an Assisi style. This means that the design pattern is left as linen, and the area surrounding it is stitched. This causes the square components to read darker than the octagon and hexagon components, and creates a secondary pattern not seen in the large and medium balls. This is part of the fun of puzzle balls." Large ball circumference is 19.5" when stitched on 28 count; the medium ball circumference is 17" when stitched on 32 count; the small ball circumference is 14" when stitched on 40 count. Detailed finishing instructions are included in this book. Designed by Denise Harrington Pratt.
